Weekly plans are converted at 52 weeks ÷ 12, not ×4 — four weeks a month undercounts a weekly bill by about 8% a year.
Everything is converted to a monthly figure. Yearly plans are divided by 12, quarterly by 3, and weekly plans are multiplied by 52 ÷ 12, about 4.33. Using a flat 4 weeks a month undercounts weekly bills by roughly 8% a year.
It uses today's prices, so treat it as a floor. Streaming and software subscriptions have repeatedly raised prices, so the real five-year cost is usually higher.
Search your card and bank statements for the last 12 months and sort by merchant, since annual renewals are easy to miss in a single month's statement. Also check the subscriptions page in your Apple or Google account and in PayPal, which bill separately from your card.
Give each subscription its own virtual card. You can set a spending limit to stop surprise price rises, or freeze or delete the card to stop a merchant who makes cancelling difficult. Kripicard issues virtual cards on Visa or Mastercard, funded with crypto, with per-card limits and freeze.
